God here begins to challenge pharaoh to let His people go. Discuss the details of this with your students. Questions to ask are as follows:
- What was the first plague? Why do you think God did this?
- How did Pharaoh react to the plague? How would you have reacted?
- What does it mean, "Pharaoh's heart grew hard"?
- Why do you think this wasn't enough to convince Pharaoh?
There are other things you might discuss, but these will get you started this week.
