Week 4: Day Four

Exodus 16:16-27
Why are we such a stubborn people? We haven't changed much since the days of Moses. When it comes to provisions I always thing more is better. Don't you? Here in Exodus we see God giving a specific provision for a specific day, yet the people aren't satisfied. While on vacation we ate at a restaurant that did not serve large portions. Because I'm used to eating until I'm more than full I was disappointed that did not have more. It wasn't that I was hungry any more, it's just that I wanted more.
As you read today's devotion, look at your life and decide, do you have enough? If so, what causes you to want more? I know for me, I like to know I'm taken care of. It's not easy putting faith in God when I can see down the road, or I don't have the provision in hand. That is, however, what God desires, for us to trust in Him and not in our own ability to provide.

In Him,
Brandon
