Wednesday Night, September 23

Last night was a night of great discussion. I wanted to share some thoughts from our discussion. First, there were more questions that answers last night but I think I can sum it up something like this. We as Christians are to be set apart. For us to do that we need to know what makes Christ's Followers different than the everyday Joe. What I challenged the kids last night to do, was they need to get to know Jesus, according to the scriptures. Often we think we know Christ and live according to our opinions or the opinion of the last teacher/pastor we heard speak. We seldom take the time to read the Bible, which God has left for us so we might know Him, His Character, His Love, His Justice, His concern for His people, His sacrifice, etc. It is important that if we profess to know Jesus, that we know Jesus!
